Gamified Learning: How Points and the Leaderboard Keep You Motivated
Motivation is easy on day one and hard on day thirty. LaxIT's points system is a small, deliberate tool to help close that gap.
How points work
You earn points for the things that actually represent real learning progress: finishing a video, attending a live class, and submitting a weekly task. Every action that moves you forward is recognized, immediately, in a visible way.
Why visible progress matters
One of the hardest parts of self-paced learning is that progress is invisible day-to-day. You don't feel more skilled after one video - you just feel like you watched a video. A running point total and a leaderboard turn that invisible accumulation into something you can actually see grow, which makes it far easier to keep going on the days motivation alone isn't enough.
It's a nudge, not a grade
The leaderboard isn't a ranking of who's "smarter" - it's a light, friendly nudge toward consistency. Showing up regularly and submitting tasks matters more for your points total than any single video, which is intentional: the system rewards the habit, not just raw hours watched.
Where to check your progress
Your total points and standing are visible right on your student dashboard the moment you log in - a quick, honest snapshot of how consistent you've actually been.
